About Socialist Hip Hop

My photo
It was already clear upon his first breath, on the African island of Mauritius, that MC Mohammad Ali was destined to bridge the gap in Canada between social justice and Hip Hop. In his work as a Hip Hop artist, social justice activist and post-secondary student leader, Mohammad has shared the stage with the likes of artists such as KRS-One, DL Incognito, Dan-E-O, DJ Dopey and Propaghandhi, among others. In the Fall of 2010, he will be releasing "I-Rep", a double album featuring: (i) "Initial Representation", rooted in the Ol' Skool tradition and (ii) "Ignorance Reproached", a reflective spoken word album. He will also be releasing the "I-Rep: Instant Replay" mixtape in the Summer of 2010, available as a free download online at www.socialisthiphop.ca For booking inquiries or more information, please contact socialisthiphop@gmail.com or visit www.socialisthiphop.ca Facebook: www.facebook.com/mcmohammadali Twitter: www.twitter.com/socialisthiphop Youtube: www.youtube.com/socialisthiphop Myspace: www.myspace.com/socialisthiphop
